This may be a Half Board hotel, but it also offers a dine-around experience which means you can eat at any of the 5 themed restaurants. If you choose to order a-la-carte, the meal allowance of €15pp (children €7.50pp) will be deducted from your total bill (food only).
Ocean Buffet Restaurant: This child-friendly eatery serves international cuisine at breakfast and dinner until 9pm. Watch as chefs mix up fresh omelets in front of your eyes at the show cooking station, or help yourself to a hearty selection of meats, pizzas and pastas. There’s also a kid’s buffet and highchairs available.
Mamma Mia: If you’ve been craving a tasty carbonara or caprese salad then this a la carte is the one for you. If the name doesn’t already give it away, this restaurant serves Italian from 3pm – 10pm.
Cas das Espetadas: Tasty and traditional Madeira wood fire cooking is what you can expect at this delicious eatery. Tuna, pork and beef grilled before you, as you watch the folklore and fado entertainment. Open from 6pm – 10.30pm.
Sabor a Mar: This is where you’ll find a helping of light bites and snacks during lunch time, the kids are covered too with a specially designed menu catering for mini holidaymakers. Indulge in fresh fish, salads and grilled meats from 10.30am – 6.00pm. On occasion there’s even summer barbecue nights.
Koi Sushi Restaurant: Your taste buds will go crazy for the tuna fillet with tangy salsa, or blow torched salmon oozing with zest. This ones for all you adventurous eaters out there – the mouthwatering begins at 7pm and ends at 10.30pm.
Lisboa Piano Bar: Alongside the local Poncha, flavoured gins and cocktails, this bar offers a laid-back atmosphere so you can truly escape reality. Enjoy live music and on warm nights kick back and relax on the outdoor terrace from 7pm – 1am.

Infinity pools and spa
Inviting you for a swim are the three large alluring infinity pools that lookout directly onto the ocean, there’s also a children’s pool which is heated and an indoor swimming area. At the Vidamar your beach towels are free, saving room in your suitcase.
