Each one of the hotel’s five floors is designed to take us on a journey through the history of Portuguese expansion in the world. Africa, Asia, Brazil and, of course, Lisbon; each floor has an aroma emblematic of its region, such as coffee or cinnamon.
The hotel has 77 rooms, of which two are suites, located on the top floor, providing a panoramic view of the cosmopolitan Cais do Sodré square and the tranquil River Tagus. Thanks to the building’s pombaline architecture, each room is different, making each stay unique. The decoration reflects Lisbon’s laid-back lifestyle through shades of brown and beige, with bursts of natural light and a few traditional details such as the essential azulejo tiles.
The bathrooms include a chromotherapy system, a treatment which, through the alternation of colours, reestablishes the balance and harmony between body, mind and soul. Red stimulates, blue soothes, yellow brings joy and green is relaxing; enabling each guest to choose his or her state of mind.
