The Sol Barbados boasts a privileged location in the quietest corner of the resort right on the sandy beach, with spectacular views of the sea and the mountains. There are 3 golf courses at the resort with easy taxi distance of 5-10 minutes: Poniente, Santa Ponsa and Bendinat. Local tips: Don’t forget to bring your golf clubs along and enjoy a round or two at Golf Bendinat (5km away)or Poniente Golf Course (2km away) , both of which enjoy world class club status and are a real treat to play. Sustainable Tourism Tax is payable in resort from 1st July 2016 up to a maximum of 2 Euros plus VAT per adult per night.

Food, drinks and entertainment: the hotel’s main restaurants (1 in each building), serves all meals buffet style featuring local, national and international dishes, themed menu/nights and show cooking. Lighter meals/snacks and drinks are available from the poolside bars or lobby bar. In summer season a full entertainment programme includes live music, live performances, disco and dance.

Sports, games and activities: 2 lake-style pools, 2 children’s pools, 1 sports pool and 1 heated indoor pool with hydromassage; spacious sun terraces with loungers and parasols; fitness center with gym, sauna and massages (supplementary charge). In summer season extensive entertainment program for adults and children (Kids Club), daily sport activities, parties, musicals, evening shows and live music. Further sporting amenities/activities are available for hire/rental nearby including sailing, diving, watersports, beach based ball games, tennis, golf, walking, hiking, cycling, surfing and horse riding.

For the kids: 2 outdoor kids swimming pools, Katmandu Adventures  – Dreamers (from 8 months to 4 year old), Explorers (from 5 to 8 year olds), Rangers (from 9 to 12 year olds). Please note there will be two new children’s pools from June 2016 – Spalsh Pad Swimming pool and Interactive Swimming pool. The additional pool with various slides, ramps, bridges and waterfalls will be available from Summer 2017.

Please note that the beach near the hotel will be CLOSED from 01.10.2024 until 31.05.2025. The works on the beach near the hotel are part of the remodelling and beautification plan of the Magaluf promenade, which began this October and is scheduled to end in May 2025. Although this area of the beach will be temporarily closed, there are other accessible beaches nearby to enjoy during their stay.
