At Joia Paraíso By Iberostar, guests receive refilled bottles directly, as there are no public water fountains.It features the Winnow system to reduce food waste and 3R equipment to manage waste in the hotels.We have two coral nurseries in front of the complex where we work with our scientific team to restore the coral reefs.Together with the municipality where the Paraíso Complex is located, we monitor the beaches of the hotels for turtle nests, which are then relocated to camps set up for this activity.We preserve mangrove areas in our Paraíso Complex, which help protect our coasts and hotels from storms and hurricanes.Community tourism project in the Riviera Maya: The project takes place in the Caribbean community of Chemuyil, in Quintana Roo. It is carried out through the Bejil-Ha Riviera Maya cooperative society, originally created by seven passionate locals committed to the conservation of more than 50 cenotes in the area, as well as the protection of the native flora and fauna of the Yucatan Peninsula. This initiative benefits more than 30 local families and promotes awareness and conservation of the territory. It offers exclusive itineraries and invites guests to explore the community and its natural surroundings with expert local guides.
